Telset.id, Jakarta – Sebelum memperkenalkan iPhone X, Apple memamerkan terlebih dahulu penerus iPhone 7, yakni iPhone 8 dan iPhone 8 Plus. Kedua smartphone ini tidak cuma jadi pelengkap saja, karena sejatinya kedua perangkat ini juga dibekali seabrek fitur canggih.
“iPhone 8 adalah langkah besar dalam iPhone,” kata Tim Cook, CEO Apple, saat memperkenalkan iPhone 8 dan iPhone 8 Plus di Apple Special Event yang diselenggarakan di Steve Jobs Theater, Amerika Serikat.
iPhone 8 dan 8 Plus sendiri dikemas dengan body berbahan dasar kaca yang membuat keduanya terlihat premium. Meski jika dilihat, desain keduanya masih hampir mirip dengan pendahulunya, iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus.
iPhone 8 memiliki layar berukuran 4,7 inch sedangkan untuk versi Plus memiliki layar berukuran 5,5 inch. Keduanya ditanamkan teknologi Retina HD Display yang suguhkan warna jernih dan membuat nyaman mata.
Terlepas dari sisi layar, keduanya telah disematkan prosesor dengan chipset Apple A11 Bionic dengan konfigurasi memori internal 32GB/128GB/256GB untuk iPhone 8 dan 64GB/256GB untuk iPhone 8 Plus.
“Prosesor ini lebih efisien 70% dibanding Apple A10 dan 25% lebih cepat dibanding chipset tersebut,” klaim Philip W. Schiller,  Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Apple.
Pindah ke bagian kameranya, iPhone 8 belum disematkan teknologi dual-camera. Meski begitu, kamera pada smartphone ini diklaim mampu menangkap gambar dengan lebih jelas dan ketepatan warna yang tinggi berkat adanya kamera beresolusi 12MP yang sudah dilengkapi dengan OIS.
Sementara untuk iPhone 8 Plus, teknologi dual-camera telah disematkan di dalamnya. Kedua kamera itu masing-masing beresolusi 12MP aperture f/1.8 untuk lensa utama dan aperture f/2.8 untuk lensa telephoto.
iPhone 8 dan 8 Plus sendiri tersedia dengan tiga pilihan warna yakni Silver, Space Gray dan Gold. Keduanya dilepas dengan harga Rp 9,3 jutaan untuk iPhone 8 dan Rp 10,5 jutaan untuk iPhone 8 Plus dan akan tersedia secara pre-order pada 15 September mendatang.
